10. Syracuse (6-5, 3-4)

The Orange have lost five games in a row after winning its first six. Syracuse had every opportunity to beat a struggling Wake Forest squad last Saturday and came short. The Orange have a shot to end their losing streak this weekend against a reeling Boston College team this weekend.

9. Georgia Tech (5-6, 4-4)

The Yellow Jackets have shown plenty of heart and fight under interim head coach Brent Key. Listen, Key might not be the “sexy” hire, but ask Clemson about sticking with the interim. The Jackets upset UNC with their third-string quarterback. Key is a Georgia Tech alum and understands the program. At least give the man an interview.

8. Wake Forest (7-4, 3-4)

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons found a much-needed win after a three-game losing streak. Sam Hartman had his best game in a while, throwing four touchdown passes in a win. Hartman was not going to let his last home game be a poor performance. The Deacons can pull to .500 in conference play with a win against Duke.

7. No. 24 North Carolina State (7-4, 3-4)

When quarterback Devin Leary went down with a season-ending injury, there were doubts the Wolfpack would even make a bowl game. However, head coach Dave Doeren and his staff have been outstanding in keeping the team together and playing hard. As a result, the Wolfpack are going to a bowl game and could pull even in ACC play with an upset of No. 17 UNC.
