Bo Nix keeps Heisman hopes alive/Oregon reaches Pac-12 title game

A couple of weeks ago, Oregon seemed primed to play its way into the College Football Playoff. Now, it just needs to beat Oregon State to reach the Pac-12 championship game. The Ducks are favored by a field goal on the road.

Both teams have solid defenses and running games. Oregon State is 26th in points allowed but has the No. 92 passing attack.  Against the front seven of Oregon, it will make all the difference. Oregon will force the Beavers to win through the air and OSU won’t be able to do it.

Bo Nix will also be a huge difference maker and my prediction is that he combines for over 300 yards and four touchdowns (rushing/passing) to send the Ducks to the Pac-12 title game.

Washington will also survive an upset bid in the Apple Cup and keep its hopes alive for the Rose Bowl if USC makes the playoff.

Big 12 title race ends with Kansas State win

Kansas State vs Kansas is a really interesting matchup. The Jayhawks, in my opinion, are going to make a game of it. I know their defense looked terrible against Texas last week but with a chance to knock the Wildcats out of the Big 12 championship game, I expect this to be a battle.

However, Deuce Vaughn and the Wildcats will do enough to wear down the Jayhawks in the fourth quarter and salt away a Big 12 title berth for head coach Chris Klieman.
