2. Jaxson Dart was fantastic

Jaxson Dart has had an up-and-down first season as Ole Miss’ starting quarterback, but he definitely ended the year on a high note. Despite losing to Alabama and Arkansas in the two previous games before the Egg Bowl, he didn’t get discouraged and had one of his best games as a Rebel against Mississippi State.

Dart finished with 250 yards and two touchdowns on 30-of-38 passing and was the better of the two quarterbacks on Thursday night.

If he can carry this play over into the bowl game and next season, Ole Miss will be right back up there, contending in the SEC and being ranked throughout the year.

It was an unfortunate finish to the season, record-wise, but Dart was sharp.
