2. Sanders could leave Jackson State for this type of opportunity.

Coach Prime has been rumored this cycle to Nebraska, Colorado, and South Florida so far. A big part of the conversation involving Sanders is the idea of legacy. One aspect of the conversation that needs to be had is that there’s never been an African-American to win a National Title as a head coach.

Black head coaches haven’t been hired to schools with a National Championship ceiling outside of Charlie Strong at Texas, and the Longhorns were a mess when Strong got that job. Prime has the cache to get an appointment with a National Title ceiling. Cincinnati moving to the Big 12 changes the trajectory of the career.

Coach Prime has proven the ability to put together a coaching staff, and his reputation as a recruiter goes without saying. Cincinnati’s payday when it moves into the Big 12 brings an influx of money, bringing more resources for the program. Coach Prime would not come alone as, well.

Quarterback play has been an issue this season for the Bearcats, and FCS All-American and Jerry Rice Award winner Shedeur Sanders and running back Sy’Veon Wilkerson would likely come with him.
