No. 10 Kansas State vs No. 3 TCU (-2.5) 12 PM EST, Saturday (ABC)

Outside of the Pac-12 championship game, the biggest game during college football’s Championship Week is between TCU and Kansas State.

While Kansas State didn’t beat TCU the first time around, it definitely can win the game. TCU rallied from a double-digit deficit in the first meeting and the Horned Frogs have been living on the edge for much of the season.

TCU dominated Iowa State last week though and while the Horned Frogs will have a case to make with a loss, this program has been snubbed by the committee before and I doubt anyone wants to leave them a choice of 12-1 TCU or 11-1 Ohio State.

I think we all know how that’s going to go. This Kansas State team is different with Will Howard playing quarterback. But the run game is dangerous, especially with Adrian Martinez being able to come in and run the ball from the QB position.

Call me crazy, but I think Deuce Vaughn could bring Kansas State its first Big 12 championship since Darren Sproles destroyed Oklahoma. He’ll have some huge plays and the Wildcats will win a similar game to the first meeting. This time, they will finish.

And a lot of college football people will start wondering about conference title games as TCU, which would finish 9-1 in Big 12 games, would watch Kansas State (8-2) win the title, even though they were 1-1 against each other.

In what world does that make sense? At any rate, I just have a feeling there will be some chaos and debate. A close loss could still get TCU into the playoff field, but it will be up to the committee as Kansas State’s ground game goes off.
