Jayden Daniels

Before a loss late in the season to Texas A&M, Jayden Daniels was starting to gain some momentum as a 2022 Heisman Trophy candidate and it was easy to see why.

The passing numbers weren’t eye-popping like Hendon Hooker, but he threw for over 2,700 yards and 16 touchdown passes while also running for 818 yards and 11 touchdowns. There was also the clutch play in the win over Alabama including a game-winning two-point conversion.

Daniels hasn’t said if he’s coming back for next season or not but the Tigers found a good thing in 2023 and another year with Brian Kelly should be a good thing for the former Arizona State QB.

I don’t see NFL teams beating down his door. He needs to improve as a passer yet with his dual-threat ability, he could put up some gaudy numbers and if he can lead LSU to another win over Alabama, you never know what could happen.
