Season Overview: The Yellow Jackets firing Geoff Collins was the best move they could have made. Georgia Tech played .500 ball under Brent Key. The Jackets were invigorated after Collins was let go. Unfortunately for Georgia Tech, injuries and a difficult end-of-season schedule dashed its bowl chances.
2023 Outlook: Brent Key is the program’s head coach full-time. Key’s first order of business? Find a quarterback. Jeff Sims has transferred to Nebraska. Zach Gibson is the only quarterback of note on the roster currently. Key has been busy in the portal, signing six players, including quarterback Haynes King.
There are some institutional challenges at Georiga Tech, but it’s Key if anyone can win.
