1. 2023 could be the year for Florida State

The Florida State Seminoles have not won the ACC since 2014, and 2023 just might be the year to break that streak.

Mike Norvell’s offense finished 16th in the country in scoring and should be even better next year. Jordan Travis just finished a fantastic season that saw him total nearly 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns. He should be on every top-10 Heisman list going into next season. His partner in crime, the massive and massively talented Johnny Wilson, will be a contender for the Biletnikoff Award next season.

While the Seminoles will lose potential first-round pick in edge rusher Jared Verse, who was an absolute force in their bowl win. While the loss will sting, star linebacker Tatum Bethune is returning, which is huge news for the Noles.

When looking ahead at their 2023 schedule, Florida State season will likely come down to three games: a neutral site season opener against LSU in the same stadium as their bowl win, and road games at rivals Clemson and Florida. While we may not know what Florida looks like next year, LSU and Clemson appear to be top-five teams. It is very possible that whether they win or lose at Clemson, they’d have a rematch in the ACC title game.

It can be hard to tell a year from now, but you have to think that two losses probably get Florida State to a New Year’s Six bowl, and one loss likely puts the Seminoles in contention for a playoff berth.

I don’t know about you, but college football is better when Florida State is back.
