2. Bryce Young proved why he’s the best quarterback in college football.

It is not a stretch to think that Alabama is a three or four-loss team without Bryce Young. The 2021 Heisman Trophy winner was masterful once again for the Crimson Tide. His combination of preparation, arm talent, ball placement, and accuracy was on full display against the best defense in the Big 12.

One of the reasons Young is the top quarterback prospect in the NFL draft is his ability to anticipate and throw to windows. His touchdown to Ja’Corey Brooks is a perfect example. Brooks ran a post corner, and Young knew precisely where the football had to be and got it there. That pass was a perfect example of ball placement.

Rarely does Young throw the football behind his receivers and often throws in stride. He is also accurate on the move. Young and the receivers went downfield when it became apparent they could beat Kansas State deep. As a result, the Crimson Tide had five completions of over 20 yards, including three completions of over 40 yards.

Young did an excellent job keeping his composure when they were down early. He did not panic, and neither did the offense.
