4. Max Duggan will have another Big-12-type title game performance

This TCU football team is bigger than Max Duggan. However, as we detailed earlier this week, the Horned Frogs rank outside the top 30 in the 247 team talent rankings, so the emergence of the quarterback into one of the most productive players in college football has been huge.

Duggan made a huge difference against Michigan. On both of his touchdown passes in the game, he avoided pressure and allowed himself time. He did have two interceptions and had one against Kansas State in the Big 12 title game.

However, he’s thrown 32 touchdown passes this season. He’s a better runner than people expect too and that gave Michigan some fits. I don’t see that being as big an issue for the Bulldogs. They see running quarterbacks all the time and did a great job against Hendon Hooker.

Yet, we have seen that the Bulldogs are vulnerable against the pass and Johnston is going to be difficult to stop. I feel like it will take the Horned Frogs a while to get going and the Bulldogs will grab a 2-3 score lead in the first half, yet TCU will battle back behind a spectacular day from Duggan which will include over 300 yards passing and 3-4 touchdowns.
