Season Overview: When Jedd Fisch was hired as Arizona’s head coach at the start of last season, there was a collective, “Who?” People are learning who he is now. The Wildcats were one game from a bowl and upset UCLA. The defense was still awful, but that takes time and recruiting to fix.

2023 Outlook: Priority number one for Fisch and the Wildcats has to be the defense. The offense scored over 30 points per game, but the defense allowed 36. Arizona allowed over 35 points per game seven times last season, including allowing over 40 points five times.
