Washington football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023
Is Arizona much better under Judd Fisch than it had been for the past couple of years? Yes. Do I think the Wildcats are ready to compete after a 5-7 season? No. But this game should be intriguing, nonetheless.
The Wildcats return Jayden de Laura at quarterback who was fun to watch last season and showed flashes of brilliance and I think they could be headed to a bowl game in 2023.
Arizona is going to play the Huskies close, but it all comes down to who has the better quarterback and the answer is Washington.
Prediction: Win (5-0, 2-0)
Red-hot to begin the season, Washington will face its biggest test in Week 7 against Oregon. This will have major playoff implications.
A big rivalry could end up deciding the Pac-12 title race or at least affecting it in a big way. The Ducks may very well be unbeaten at this point in the year as well, setting this up to be a top-10 battle in a rivalry game in a raucous Husky Stadium atmosphere.
Washington gets it done as Michael Penix has some Heisman moments throughout.
Prediction: Win (6-0, 3-0)
