UCLA football: Way-too-early game-by-game predictions for 2023

Cameron Ward was really solid for Washington State in 2022 after coming over from the FCS where he was one of the best quarterbacks in the country and now with another year under his belt, he has a chance to be one of the best quarterbacks in the FBS.

This should be a heck of quarterback duel between Ward and Dante Moore but I think home-field advantage plays a huge role and the Bruins hold on to beat a hungry Washington State team.

Washington State will be a pesky team in 2023.

Prediction: Win (4-1, 1-1)

Oregon State was one of the surprise teams in college football last year as the Beavers finished with nine regular-season wins and beat Oregon.

How do you improve a team that was already more impressive than expected a year ago? You add a quarterback like DJ Uiagalelei who desperately needed a fresh start after Clemson and should be one of the most improved passers in the country.

The Beavers will be legit Pac-12 title contenders and UCLA will fall here.

Prediction: Loss (4-2, 1-2)
