Dallas Cowboys

My gut tells me that Hooker will go in the second round. You never know with quarterbacks though. Yet, if that happens, Dallas could be looking to pounce.

The Cowboys have two quarterbacks on their roster that they like and just gave Dak Prescott a massive contract. He’s going to be the guy for near future at least, but Hendon Hooker would be an intriguing option if he’s available with the 59th pick.

Dallas would almost have to take him at that point, unless it was really opposed to taking a quarterback or was uncomfortable with the injury.

Yet, the fact that Hooker is coming off injury makes him less of a threat to Prescott and could allow him the time needed to recover and eventually, push Prescott for the job.

It could be a home run or a bust, but the Cowboys wouldn’t be taking as big of a risk due to the fact that Prescott is pretty darn good already. Yet, if Dallas can get similar production at a much cheaper rate in a year or two, it’s well worth considering.
