Scouting Report. player. 2. 10. Pick Analysis. QB. Alabama. Bryce Young

There’s going to be a ton of debate about whether or not Davis Mills is the quarterback of the future for the Texans, but with the No. 2 pick in the draft and the first overall pick by the Bears likely being anything but a quarterback, Houston should probably take the best passer in the class.

In this instance, I believe that’s Bryce Young out of Alabama.

The 2021 Heisman Trophy winner had a nice career at Alabama, following up Tua Tagovailoa — not an easy feat.

In two years after taking over for Tagovailoa, he had over 8,000 yards and 79 touchdowns with just 12 interceptions. Plus, he completed about 65 percent of his passes in that span. He’s one of the most accurate passers in the class and he’ll make Texans fans very happy.

Mills might have a future in this league, but Young could be the future of the NFL.
