Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Cam Smith. player. South Carolina. 22. 26

Ravens fans probably want a receiver here and I could see that happening, but I think they go defense with their first pick.

The Ravens’ receiving corps have been underwhelming for years and after Rashod Bateman’s injury in 2022, it feels like nothing is for certain when it comes to pass-catchers not named Mark Andrews.

While there are still a lot of talented receivers on the board, I like the Ravens going with South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith here. He’s battled some injuries throughout his career but I think he’s barely even scratched the surface.

The former All-SEC selection had 68 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and 16 pass breakups over his final two seasons in Columbia. He’s slight of frame but he’s a darn good lockdown corner.

Baltimore could use what he brings to the table.
