EDGE. LSU. 29. player. 15. Pick Analysis. BJ Ojulari. Scouting Report

New Orleans gets the 49ers’ pick here via a trade and they’ll either stretch for a tight end that could be a second-round option or they’ll go with a defensive lineman because there aren’t any quarterbacks worth taking here.

There could always be a quarterback that somehow slips past the middle of the first and into the latter half that will draw some major headlines like Will Levis or Anthony Richardson that the Saints could probably jump at, but I doubt that happens this year.

In that case, I can see BJ Ojulari going No. 29 to New Orleans after a fantastic career with LSU.

Ojulari was one of the best edge rushers in the SEC for the past couple of seasons and that’s exactly what New Orleans needs. He had 112 total tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, and 12.5 sacks over his final two seasons with LSU and declared for the NFL draft after his junior year. He’d be a fun addition to the Saints.

Plus, it’d be cool to see him stay home and play pro ball where he played in college.
