Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Tyree Wilson. 5. EDGE. Texas Tech. player. 36

Tyree Wilson is one of my favorite prospects in the entire 2023 draft class and his career trajectory has been fascinating.

The former four-star recruit began his career at Texas A&M in 2018 before transferring to Texas Tech in 2020. He finished his Aggie career with 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in five games. He broke out in Lubbock in 2021 with 38 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and seven sacks.

How did he follow that up? He topped those numbers with 61 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. Not bad for a transfer defensive end who didn’t get much of a chance at Texas A&M.

I think he has a chance to be the second or third defensive lineman chosen and the Seahawks could very well go offensive line here, but it’d be really hard to pass up on Wilson.
