TCU. 9. player. 87. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Quentin Johnston

I’m a huge fan of Quentin Johnston and I think he’ll be the first receiver off the board in this year’s draft. He’s got great size and he’s a freak athlete with elite top-end speed and he can out-jump any defensive back for a ball.

The Panthers could use that.

Carolina could probably go quarterback here, but do they reach for the third or fourth best option available at the position after watching Bryce Young and CJ Stroud come off the board? I doubt it. I think they’ll roll the dice with Sam Darnold and Matt Corral (coming off an injury) next season and then potentially take a quarterback in 2024.

It wouldn’t hurt to add some help for whoever starts at quarterback and Johnston would be an ideal option. He’d pair nicely with DJ Moore and Terrace Marshall Jr.

Johnston’s breakout season with TCU saw him grab 60 passes for 1,069 yards and six touchdowns, helping to lead the Horned Frogs to the national title game.
