3. Tennessee football

it’s impressive how quickly Josh Heupel has been able to turn around the Tennessee football program. The Vols are back to recruiting at an elite level and like Colorado, the Vols were able to land multiple commitments from the 2024 class in February.

JJ Harrell just committed to Tennessee football this week and that was a solid pickup. He got a big boost in the rankings too and is now ranked 99th overall in the 2024 class according to the 247 sports composite rankings.

Harrell is 6 feet, 187 pounds, and out of Mississippi. He’s also ranked 17th among wide receivers in the 2024 class and is the second top-100 commitment in 2024 for the ninth-ranked Vols (2024 team recruiting ranking).

Tennessee football also secured an in-state four-star Marcus Goree. Goree is ranked 398th overall in the 2024 class and is the No. 8 player in the state. Nebraska, Penn State, and Michigan were among the other teams pushing for the athlete but the Vols won out and that’s one reason why they are on this list.
