Can Michigan make it a 3-peat?

Not long ago, we predicted Michigan to win the Big Ten championship once again next season and there are a few reasons for that.

The Wolverines have a bunch of key players returning. They have the best running back duo in the country, which includes Heisman contender Blake Corum. Donovan Edwards proved he’s capable of being a superstar too and went off against Ohio State before winning the MVP award of the Big Ten championship game.

The offensive line has a couple of openings but Michigan has addressed those needs via the transfer portal. Also, the internal development should continue to be outstanding up front and until we see Ohio State stand up to the Wolverines, I’m betting on Michigan.

McCarthy is going to be better next season and the defense should be just as good, plus “The Game” is in Ann Arbor. Michigan might not go undefeated next season, but they are still my pick to win a third straight Big Ten title.

Still, the Wolverines need some of their young players to develop and that’s something to watch this spring as they try to make it three in a row.
