It’s tough talking about Mississippi State without thinking about how Mike Leach is no longer going to be there on the sidelines. It’s been a tough offseason and he will be sorely missed.

Even though he’s gone, Starkville is still going to be a daunting place for opponents. No one wants to play there, including Alabama.

Mississippi State could pull off the upset here just based on atmosphere alone, but I just don’t think the Bulldogs have the dogs to upend the Crimson Tide.

Prediction: Win (5-0, 2-0)

Although Texas A&M went just 5-7 last year, I do think the Aggies will be better this year and Conner Weigman will be much better at quarterback than anything they ran out last year during the disaster season.

Plus, Texas A&M always seems to play Alabama tough.

But Jimbo Fisher’s magic will run out in this one, even after holding a lead at halftime. The second half will be mostly Alabama as the Tide win by two touchdowns and improve to 6-0 on the year with a big road win.

Prediction: Win (6-0, 3-0)
