I’m honestly not sure how to judge Auburn this season with Hugh Freeze as head coach, but he has a lot of cleaning up to do after the nightmare tenure of Bryan Harsin which had plenty of distractions.

Freeze is a good coach, however, and he showed that at Liberty and Ole Miss but he’s not going to be able to overcome a so-so roster in his first year to beat his former program.

Ole Miss spoils Freeze’s “revenge” game.

Prediction: Win (6-1, 3-1)

Vanderbilt is one of the improving programs in college football and Clark Lea has done a fantastic job. He won just two games in his first season (expected) and then he nearly turned the Commodores into a bowl team in year two with a 5-7 record and two SEC wins.

There’s still a long way to go, but Vanderbilt is no longer a laughingstock under Lea and that’s bad news for teams looking for free wins.

This will, however, be a win for Ole Miss.

Prediction: Win (7-1, 4-1)
