2. Washington Huskies

Another team that I really like that happens to make my potential ‘fraud watch’ list is Washington. The Huskies were one of my favorite stories from last season (maybe even at my own expense as I’m a Michigan State fan and they dominated my Spartans). The first season of Kalen DeBoer in Seattle was a resounding success and it had a lot to do with Michael Penix Jr.

Well, Penix is back and DeBoer will have one of the most explosive offenses in the country with a receiving corps that will make every defense sweat.

So how could the Huskies really be frauds?

Well, it was DeBoer’s first season and he had all of the success because of Penix and it’s hard to see this team match that success in 2023, especially since the Pac-12 is going to be vastly improved with Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Utah, and UCLA all vying for the conference title.

Washington will probably be solid, but it might crash back down to earth after an expectation-shattering 2022 season.
