Andrel Anthony

These guys aren’t ranked in order of their impact, but I have no doubt that Andrel Anthony is going to be a difference-maker for Oklahoma football in 2023.

Anthony looked poised for a breakout season in 2022 for the Michigan Wolverines after a solid freshman campaign. He caught two touchdowns and went over 100 yards receiving in a win over Michigan State in 2021 and also caught a TD pass in an Orange Bowl loss to Georgia.

Anthony seemed poised to become one of the Wolverines’ top targets down the field, yet he struggled with drops and didn’t get as many opportunities as expected.

The former three-star recruit entered the transfer portal and got interest from a bunch of big-name programs before landing with the Sooners. Oklahoma football lost Marvin Mims, it’s only 1,000-yard receiver from last season and call me crazy, but I think Anthony can fill the void.

Anthony wasn’t used correctly in Ann Arbor and if he can rebuild his confidence in Norman, he could prove to be a real find for Oklahoma football in 2023.
