TE Erick All

A tight end can be the best friend of a quarterback and in Erick All, the Hawkeyes are landed one of the best in the transfer portal. At least one of the most underrated.

If All had decided to leave for the NFL draft after the 2021 season, the former Michigan standout would have had a good chance at being a day two draft pick after catching 38 passes for 437 yards and two touchdowns during the 2021 campaign.

There was a health issue last season and he only caught three passes. All left the Wolverines via the transfer portal after the season and quickly wound up at Iowa with McNamara, his former starting QB.

The loss might not hurt Michigan that much, but it’s a big addition for the Hawkeyes who are always known for having quality tight ends and lost Sam LaPorta. All is a reliable blocker and a receiver that can be moved all over the field.

My guess is that All and McNamara both have strong seasons in 2023 for Iowa football.
