EDGE Josaiah Stewart

Another big addition for Michigan football in the transfer portal was Josaiah Stewart, an edge rusher from Coastal Carolina who can help fill the void left by Mike Morris and Eybai Okie.

Okie decided to join Biff Poggi in Charlotte, which was disappointing because he finished the season strong but it was also understandable when you get their relationship.

The Wolverines have a solid group of pass rushers returning in Braiden McGregor, Jaylen Harrell, and Derrick Moore, a top-100 signee from the 2022 class.

But you can never have enough pass rushers. Michigan saw that last season when Morris got hurt and the pass rush was never really the same. Stewart had double-digit sacks two years ago for Coastal Carolina and he seems like a guy capable of notching 8-10 sacks for the Wolverines next season.

Michigan isn’t ranked as high in terms of transfer portal additions, but all of their transfer pickups were very solid and they are going to be making a positive impact.
