I may be a little higher on Shamar Easter than most people because I think he could come in and be that athletic tight end threat that the Razorbacks have been missing.

Arkansas did land another solid tight end in the class in four-star Luke Hasz, but I’m slightly higher on Easter because he has better size and he looks like he’ll be an immediate threat in the passing game. He could potentially make the two-deep in the fall, and if he does, I think the Razorbacks will be in good shape with some two-tight end sets.

Arkansas didn’t even know if Easter was going to be part of the class, but he reaffirmed his commitment and signed with the Razorbacks in February. It was a pleasant surprise.

Now that he’s coming in with the 2023 class, he’s going to have to prove himself if he’s going to crack that two-deep like I believe he’s capable of doing.

This may be a bold prediction, but I think Easter has a big season as a freshman.
