Mississippi State Bulldogs

There aren’t enough good things to say about the Mississippi State Bulldogs. This team endured the loss of its beloved head coach, Mike Leach, and persevered to win eight games, including their bowl. Head coach Zac Arnett and his staff parlayed that into a solid recruiting class that will surely bring in some new faces to keep the momentum this fall.

One place the ‘Dogs focused was the skill positions. Keep an eye on some athletes, incoming freshman Creed Whittemore and Kentucky transfer Ja’Kobi Albert. Whittemore played quarterback in high school, and Albert played defensive back and wide receiver. Whittemore is only limited by the imagination of offensive coordinator Kevin Barbay.

Albert could slide to the defensive backfield, but he is dynamic with the football in space. Both players could be on the field because of their explosive playmaking ability.

Another position Arnett and his staff went hard after was defensive back, with six signees. Keep an eye on Miami transfer Khamauri Rogers and LSU transfer Raydarious Jones. Both players offer length and depth at the cornerback position after losing four players from last season’s roster.
