Look, I really like what Dino Babers did last season. His back was against the wall and all he did to respond was win seven games and lead Syracuse out of the ACC’s cellar and into the field of slight relevancy. The Orange made a bowl game for the first time since 2018, but is one bowl berth every 4-5 seasons good enough for Syracuse? I’m not so sure.

Don’t get me wrong, Syracuse isn’t exactly a national power, but Orange fans are going to get a little impatient waiting for him to make another bowl game if this trend continues.

In the Power Five, two bowl games in seven years just isn’t going to cut it.

Babers is fresh off a 7-6 season and Pinstripe Bowl loss but if he doesn’t make it back to the postseason in 2023, there’s a good chance he could be looking for a new job next offseason.

It just feels like Babers has worn out his welcome at Syracuse.
