Jarrett Patterson, IOL: Fourth round

The final prospect that I think Notre Dame sees drafted will be Jarrett Patterson, an elite-level interior offensive lineman who probably doesn’t get the respect he deserves.

Interior offensive linemen don’t have the same high draft stock for NFL teams as tackle prospects and because of his shorter reach. While he is 6-foot-5 and 306 pounds which could put him on the outside, I just don’t think he has the range to play there at the next level. He’s not quite as polished as an overall blocker to protect the edge.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not going to make one heck of an interior lineman for one lucky NFL team in 2023.

I see Patterson as a fourth-round pick and there are a number of teams that could use some depth on the interior. The Commanders, Giants, and Bulls would be potential landing spots for Patterson in that fourth round.
