2. 4-star QB Michael Hawkins commits to Oklahoma

Yet another QB from Texas committed over the weekend in the 2024 college football recruiting class and that’s four-star Michael Hawkins who is going across the border to Oklahoma.

Hawkins is 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, and is ranked as the No. 19th-best quarterback in 2024. His offer sheet is impressive and includes a number of schools from the SEC such as Alabama and Arkansas.

What’s even better for the Sooners is that they have now landed a commitment from a blue-chip quarterback in 2023, 2024, and 2025. That’s exactly what you want in today’s world of college football and the transfer portal.

1. 4-star Qb Air Noland commits to Ohio State football

The big winner of the week in terms of quarterback recruiting and college football recruiting, in general, is Ohio State football.

The Buckeyes beat out a bunch of other programs for the commitment of top-100 QB Air Noland on Saturday. He’s the No. 8 QB in the 2024 class and his final seven included Arkansas, Texas A&M, Clemson, and a number of others such as Miami.

Just in the past week, Ohio State football has landed a top-5 running back in 2024, a five-star wide receiver, and now a top-10 quarterback.
