5. Ohio State Buckeyes

I know what you’re thinking: it’s just a silver helmet, how could it possibly be top five?

Well, when you factor in that Ohio State is one of the last programs to still utilize the helmet stickers, they get a little bump up the rankings for that. The Ohio State helmet by itself is plain, but it’s also iconic. It’s a silver dome with a red stripe down the middle, outlined by white stripes which are outlined by black. It’s an immaculate look.

There’s also just something so intimidating about these helmets. Whether it’s the countless helmet stickers on them or just the fact that when you see them you know you’re about to face an elite team that has owned the Big Ten for decades remains to be seen — but they’re intimidating for sure.

And then there’s the Ohio State black alternate with the red stickers which brings a whole new meaning to intimidating. I still think the silver helmet is the best Ohio State has to offer, but the matte black is a really great look, too.
