Michael Van Buren (No. 11 QB, 4-star)

Michigan and Ohio State have each landed top-10 quarterbacks in the 2024 college football recruiting class and Penn State really needs to land one too.

The good news is that the Nittany Lions have a couple of solid options. If for some reason, things didn’t work out with Michael Van Buren, the Nittany Lions could have a good shot at Bradford, a kid from IMG, if they had an open spot.

As it stands right now, Steve Wiltfong has put in a crystal ball projection for Van Buren to land at Penn State and that’s a big get for Penn State if it winds up happening.

Out of St. Frances, Van Buren is ranked 128th overall and probably underrated due to being 5-foot-11, 185 pounds. His offer sheet is impressive though.

Maryland is still in the mix for the kid out of Baltimore, along with Oregon. Oklahoma was in the mix and Alabama offered but it seems like it’s really down to Penn State, Maryland, and Oregon.

Penn State feels like the favorite but with so much happening in 2024, you just never know.
