I was very tempted to put Zachariah Branch in this spot because I think that the No. 4 recruit in the entire 2023 class and the nation’s top receiver prospect will be a stud right away. He’s going to be the next elite receiver to come through USC, but I do think Dorian Singer has a bigger impact right away in 2023.
Singer is an experienced wideout from Arizona and he’s coming off a career year with the Wildcats. He’s already faced Pac-12 competition and excelled while being surrounded by less talented and he didn’t exactly have a Heisman winner passing him the ball.
He and Caleb Williams are going to be fun to watch this upcoming season.
Singer had 18 catches for 301 yards as a freshman and then more than tripled his production as a sophomore with 66 catches for 1,105 yards and six touchdowns. He’s averaging 16.7 yards per reception over his two-year career and that’s the type of home-run threat that USC needs to help replace Jordan Addison.
Looking for the next immediate star receiver at USC? Look no further than Singer but don’t count Branch out.
