The Baltimore Ravens select wide receiver Zay Flowers from Boston College in the 2023 NFL draft.

Few players in this draft will ingratiate themselves more to a fan base than Boston College Eagles wide receiver Zay Flowers. Few players in this draft play and work as hard as Flowers. Few players in this draft were as productive in college as Flowers. Flowers’ numbers are unique because of how bad the quarterback play in Chestnut Hill was during his most productive season.

Zay Flowers caught 12 of Boston College’s 21 touchdown passes last season. Every team knew who would catch the football for the Eagles, and he still found a way to get open. Flowers’ game fits the maxim, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.” The Fort Lauderdale native has a lot of dog in him as well.

Flowers is an aggressive route runner that attacks the football. He does not wait for the ball to come to him. He is physical, no matter the size of the defensive back he plays against. Flowers is more quick than fast, but he has tremendous game speed. Zay Flowers has great hands and outstanding ball skills.

He’ll fit nicely in Baltimore’s new offense in the slot. Quarterback Lamar Jackson likes to throw the football in the middle of the field, and Zay Flowers knows how to get open; that is a match made in heaven for both. Jackson and the Ravens are going to love Zay Flowers.
