2. Daijon Parker, Offensive Tackle (Transfer):

Iowa football did a tremendous job of bolstering the depth of their offensive line. Iowa should be a destination for an offensive lineman looking to transfer and get developed. The Hawkeyes signed three offensive linemen out of high school, including tackle Trevor Lauck and interior lineman Leighton Jones. Both players are going to be solid linemen in the future.

Iowa needs depth now, however. Daijon Parker, a transfer from Saginaw Valley State, helps fill that. He’s had an interesting journey to Iowa City. One of the best Division II linemen in the country, Parker signed with Virginia before flipping to Iowa. Parker had several offers in the portal, including Washington State and Florida A&M.

Though he’s out this spring, the Michigan native is expected to return for summer ball. He and Nick DeJong will compete for the starting right tackle spot through the summer.

Keep an eye on Miami (OH) transfer Rusy Feth. Although he does not arrive on campus until June, expect Feth to compete with Connor Colby, Beau Jennings, and Gennings Dunker for the two starting guard spots. Iowa has had some linemen out this spring due to injury, so the competition for starting jobs will ramp up this summer.
