6 biggest winners from college football recruiting in May
1. Georgia
Like Oregon, Georgia picked up four commitments in the month of May. Not all of them were ranked as blue-chip prospects (four or five stars) but the Bulldogs landed one of the elite players in the entire 2024 college football recruiting class in Dylan Raiola.
Raiola is the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2024 class and despite pushes from USC, Oregon, and Nebraska, Georiga was able to land the elite QB. It essentially makes up for the miss on Arch Manning in the 2023 class.
Raiola has the potential to be the No. 1 overall pick someday. Yet, the Bulldogs also added three other recruits in May, including top-100 tight end Jaden Reddell.
Reddell is ranked 55th overall and is the No. 3 tight end. His commitment lessens the blow of Landen Thomas flipping from Georgia to Florida State. The Bulldgs did get another tight end in Colton Heinrich (No. 638), as well as offensive lineman Marcus Harrison (No. 611).
UGA also surged to the top of the 2024 team rankings and by the looks of it, the Bulldogs won’t be giving up that top spot in the college football recruiting rankings.
