2. Keenan Pili, LB

This one is exciting for Tennessee football. Keenan Pili comes to the Vols from across the country at BYU, where he has been a captain and a leader of a tough defense.

Tennessee will get him for one season as a graduate transfer. Pili is a strong leader and the transfer to Tennessee is an interesting move here, particularly due to the fact that his family’s history with BYU runs deep. This guy wants to contend for a national title and will be bringing his talent and leadership to a team that he believes in.

Pili battled injury in 2021 and bounced back in 2022 with a nice season with 62 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and a sack. His experience will be critical here, especially with some of the new talent being brought on board here.

Having a guy that has played major college football as a leader for guys like Caleb Herring who has the raw talent and athleticism can help this defense gel and have an impact as a whole despite their youth.
