1. Ohio State at Indiana

Indiana has given the Buckeyes some scares in the past, and having this game at home as an opener is the best-case scenario for the Hoosiers. They have some questions to answer at the quarterback position themselves, and I think it’s possible that both teams may have a couple of different guys under center in this game.

I don’t see this being a total embarrassment as Ohio State football will be at its most vulnerable early in the season, but the Buckeyes will handle business here as the vastly superior team and win by a couple of scores.

Prediction: Win (1-0, 1-0)

2. Youngstown State at Ohio State football

The home opener for the Buckeyes will be against Youngstown State. This Youngstown State team is coming off a 7-4 season and is returning nine starters on each side of the ball. They are looking to win even more games this season and have another strong year under head coach Doug Phillips. Unfortunately for the Penguins, this will not be one of those games.

Ohio State football will simply be too much for Youngstown State. That’s really all there is to it. The Penguins should go on to have a nice year, and this will be a good opportunity for the Buckeyes to further figure out the quarterback situation.

Prediction: Win (2-0, 1-0)
