11. Minnesota at Ohio State

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are another team that has the potential to spoil someone’s perfect season. They are well-coached under P.J. Fleck and have a lot of returning talent. They are breaking in a new QB in Athan Kaliakmanis, but he did play the last several games last year due to the injury to Tanner Morgan. The Gophers will be one of the better teams in the Big Ten this year.

Ohio State football will get the win at home so long as they show up. It is probably the most dangerous game on their schedule outside of their three major tests as the biggest game of all will be looming just one week into the future and it will be difficult not to look ahead.

Prediction: Win (10-1, 8-0)

12. Ohio State at Michigan (The Game)

As per usual the last few years, this game should be massive in determining both the Big Ten East as well as College Football Playoff implications. These two elite teams will likely enter this game ranked in the top 5 or close to it, and a win will mean a lot.

Michigan is a team that needs no introduction and all there really is to say is that they are bringing just about everyone back from a team that won the Big Ten and made the playoff last season. They have an incredible defense and will continue to play smash-mouth football with their top-notch running game. They have been too physical for Ohio State these past two seasons as they have been victorious in this matchup.

This will be loss number two for Ohio State after a strong season. I’ve got Michigan in a close game, similar to the matchup in Ann Arbor a couple of years ago. Their physicality along with the atmosphere at the big house will put them over the top in this one.
