The rivalry is between two schools that are less than 250 miles apart and dates back to 1909 with almost a century of conference affiliation. The rivalry between Kansas State and Missouri still means something in regionally even after a decade of SEC play for Mizzou. The question this year will be: Can Missouri finish September unbeaten? If Mizzou can get payback from last year’s humiliating loss! Missouri leads the all-time series  60-33-5. However, the Tigers lost their last meeting with the Wildcats by a score of 40-12 in Manhattan.

North Carolina vs. South Carolina (in Charlotte, NC)

Battle of the Carolinas: The two flagship universities of the Carolinas, South Carolina, and North Carolina, will renew their rivalry on the gridiron at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte to open the 2023 season. This has the potential of being a tremendous game featuring a marquee non-conference matchup. This will be the 60th meeting in the series that dates back to 1903. North Carolina leads the all-time series, 35-20-4.

Clemson at. South Carolina

The Palmetto Bowl was the longest continuous non-conference rivalry in the nation, the second longest continuous rivalry in Division I college football, and the longest uninterrupted rivalry series in the South.

The Palmetto Bowl had gone uninterrupted since 1908 before the SEC opted for a conference-only schedule in 2020 for safety precautions. This game could have enormous implications or it could just be two teams who hate each other playing for bragging rights. The 120th meeting will be played Saturday, November 25th at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.
