4. Texas

It was a helluva month for the Texas Longhorns too in the 2024 college football recruiting class as Steve Sarkisian’s team landed six commitments. However, five of them were four-star prospects which included Jerrick Gibson the top-ranked player in the class at 39th overall.

Texas still has work to do in the 2024 class, but also just got projected to land a five-star wide receiver in Ryan Wingo.

But the reason they made our list of college football recruiting winners for the month of June was that it really served as a jumpstart.

Texas had just two verbal commitments prior to June. Now, five of the top six commitments on the board are from that month, which featured five blue-chippers. Six of the top nine total were landed in June and each of Texas’ top nine commitments were landed in June or on July 1st.

The Longhorns are ranked 32nd right now in the 2024 college football recruiting team rankings, but that number will improve before it’s all over.
