1. No one is talking about Clemson

I could be wrong here, but I am hearing a lot about Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, etc. Not so much the Clemson Tigers, despite the fact that they will likely start the season in the top 10.

The reason that it is scary to have so much silence around Clemson is that Dabo Swinney has used this as a narrative to motivate his group. This is exactly what Dabo wants — silence. They will quietly go about their business and be there at the end.

Clemson has the talent to compete at the highest level and has figured out the quarterback situation which should prove to be very important to their success. Letting DJ Uiagalelei walk was the right move for the program based on what I saw from Cade Klubnik coming down the stretch of the season.

If they have the talent and can use this narrative of no one giving them a shot to their advantage, look out.
