One of the breakout candidates that’s been on my radar for a year now is Jadarian Price. The redshirt freshman didn’t play in the spring game as he was still getting back from the Achilles tear he suffered last summer before the season.

But Marcus Freeman admitted that the former four-star running back from the 2022 class was battling it out for the starting job before suffering the injury last year.

That’s some high praise.

The coaching staff loves Price and he seems to bring a different skill set to the table than Audric Estime. He will create a heck of a one-two punch with Estime as long as he can stay healthy.

Notre Dame did bring in Devyne Ford from Penn State via the transfer portal but that seems to be just an insurance policy if Price goes down again. If he can stay healthy all year, I’m buying all the stock in this second-year star.
