Our second member of the 2022 recruiting class to make the list, I’ve been high on Evan Stewart ever since he committed to the Aggies.

Although he’s not the biggest target on the field, he’s explosive. What he lacks in size (6-foot-0, 175 pounds), he makes up for in big-play ability. He showed plenty of that as a freshman with 53 catches for 649 yards and two touchdowns.

But he’s barely even made a name for himself yet. He had a big first year with the Aggies, leading the team in receiving, but he did that primarily with Haynes King and Max Johnson throwing him the ball. He’s going to have Conner Weigman this season, assuming he can stay healthy, and that should pay major dividends as he’s one of the best young quarterbacks in the country.

In fact, Weigman was going to be my pick for No. 1 on this list but it would have been too easy and too much of an obvious choice which is why I picked Stewart.

Some could argue Stewart already broke out last season, but I think we’re going to see him top 1,000 receiving yards in 2023.
