1. Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M

OK, is this really a surprise? Maybe not so much, but Jimbo Fisher was considered one of the top 10 coaches in college football not too long ago. If you told me after the 2020 season in which Texas A&M finished 9-1 that Fisher would be on the hot seat following the 2023 campaign, I would’ve called you crazy.

Heck, he may already be on the hot seat heading into the year.

Why? Because the expectations are sky-high in College Station and he’s gone 13-11 over the last two seasons since just missing the playoff in 2020. He also missed a bowl game in 2022.

Long story short, fans are growing restless in College Station. Missing bowl games just shouldn’t happen at Texas A&M, especially months after landing the No. 1 recruiting class in the country. That’s just bad coaching and Fisher would admit that.

If Texas A&M has another average season (6-7 wins), Fisher may just be on his way out. And with the schedule the Aggies have in 2023, it’s not hard to imagine.

Next. One of these 8 teams will win the national title in 2023. dark
