4. Texas

Texas fans have taken quite the beating emotionally over the years but yet they enter each season with an optimism unknown to mankind.

Texas could be 4-8 one year and the next, fans are expecting a conference title and national title push. Not many fanbases continue to hype up their team/coach/program as much as Texas but they can be realistic when they want to be — it’s not too often.

I have to give it up to Texas fans, they’ve been beaten down every year since their national title in 2005 and yet they continue to hype up each season more than the last.

It’s hard to believe that Texas has just four claimed national titles in program history because if you talked to a Longhorn fan, they’d lead you to believe they’re the best program of all time.

I can respect that loyalty and never-ending passion.

They show up every year, too. They averaged 100.1% capacity during an average season in 2022. Not many programs can pull that off.
