We are less than 24 hours away from Notre Dame football’s 2023 season kicking off in Ireland against Navy. This will be the third matchup between the two in Ireland.

Marcus Freeman led Notre Dame to an AP Top 25 finish in 2022 after starting the season 0-2 with losses to Ohio State and Marshall and it just feels like the team is getting better this year. In fact, the Irish are ranked in the top 15 to start the year.

But how will Notre Dame fare throughout the season?

Here are my honest game-by-game predictions for the Irish in 2023.

1. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Navy Midshipmen. 2394. Aug. 26. Dublin, Ireland. player

The last time Notre Dame and Navy met in Ireland (2012), it was a blowout in favor of the Irish. I see the same thing happening this time around with the Midshipmen breaking in a new head coach.

Notre Dame has never lost in Ireland and that streak will continue as it’ll handle the Midshipmen with relative ease. I just don’t think Navy has what it takes to keep up with this revamped Notre Dame offense and that’s going to be the biggest difference in this one, regardless of the Midshipmen rushing attack.

Prediction: Win (1-0)

Eddie George and Tennessee State will head to Notre Dame in Week 1 for what should be a huge blowout win for the Irish. Tennessee State went 5-6 in George’s first year in 2021 and then just 4-7 last season so I don’t expect them to be able to keep up with Notre Dame here. This one should honestly be over by halftime.

Prediction: Win (2-0)
