2. Jeff Sims accounts for over 350 total yards

Jeff Sims was one of the most intriguing additions this offseason for new head coach Matt Rhule and the Cornhuskers. He comes over from Georgia Tech after an up-and-down career in Atlanta and if anyone is going to fix him, it’s Rhule.

OK, Sims wasn’t terrible last season, passing for 1,115 yards and five touchdowns with three picks and a 59 percent completion rate before a foot injury derailed his season, but he could be better. Being on a lackluster Georgia Tech team didn’t help him.

Now with improved weapons and a fresh start, Sims is ready to put up some big numbers and really become a top quarterback in college football like everyone expected him to be early on at Georgia Tech.

Against a solid Minnesota defense, he’s going to showcase his elite dual-threat ability and keep Nebraska in the game. He’ll finish with over 350 total yards of offense (250 passing, 100 rushing) and make a name for himself in the Big Ten.

Sims is going to be a problem here.
